The
Edge
You know, so many companies
waste a lot of money on unnecessary packaging - all for the
sake of marketing. A lot of this packaging ends up in the
trash. Why an individual product that is properly and attractively
labelled, then needs to be in a cardboard box with repeat
labelling is quite beyond us here at Volcanic Earth. Do we
really need to leave unnecessary footprints on the earth in
this way?
A company
here in Vanuatu that is doing its bit to reduce waste is Vanuatu
Brewing Ltd. Tusker is a local beer here in Vanuatu made by
the company, as is its sparkling Cascade (bottled) Water !
The important point about Vanuatu Brewing is that the company
recycles its beer and water bottles whenever possible. They
even pay 10 Vatu for any empty bottles returned to them. It
is in recognition of vanuatu Brewing's efforts in this regard
that we have featured them in our "Featured Sponsor"
section of this Newsletter - free of charge.

Volcanic Earth may be
on the edge by taking a stand against unnecessary packaging
that ends up as landfill, but at least we're not alone!
You want
to be paying for product - not expensive packaging. Of course,
marketers and advertising executives know that people tend
to make purchasing decisions based on sight, sound and smell,
especially when it comes to skin care. However, the public
are becoming much more senstive to the environment and the
need to help preserve, protect and respect our planet.
By refusing
to engage in surplus packaging for marketing purposes only,
Volcanic Earth is making a conscious effort to walk softly
on our precious earth.

Recent
Developments
Volcanic
Earth has come a long way since it first launched in July 2003.
However, the exciting news for 2007 is that you can also expect
to come across VE products being marketed and sold on other
websites and online Internet stores, via our growing list of
authorized Volcanic Earth Resellers. We welcome these new businesses
and individuals who have seen fit to embrace our products. Much
of 2007 will be devoted to supporting these hard-working resellers
in any we can, to the highest level of customer service possible.
We encourage you to support their efforts as well.
Volcanic
Earth has also recently been accepted into the Green Directory
in Australia.
What does
this mean for us? It reflects an acceptance of the integrity
and quality of our skin care products as being truly organic
- a claim that many companies make but often fail to deliver
on. The Green Directory knows this and so it has set a very
strict standard for any company that wants to be listed with
them.
If you
happen to be a smoker, you should give up ...... but until you
do, check out what's new

Personally Speaking
Here at
Volcanic Earth, we continue to marvel at the extraordinary,
skin healing benefits of pure Tamanu Oil. Lots of people in
Vanuatu use it on a daily basis for anything from insect bites,
burns, acne, scarring, nappy rash and the list goes on. However,
it is largely a well-kept secret when it comes to the rest of
the world - at least it has been. More and more people from
overseas are now beginning to use it and appreciate its benefits.
